Project IV: Gurnzy - Sirens

Gurnzy's Sirens is a Electronic Dance Song, specifically under the "Drum & Bass" sub-genre.

 

• The original mix uses a bass heavy groove with a punchy kick and snare. It maintains its groove throughout the entire song, allowing you to get lost into the mix.

 

• The first variation replaces the original drums with more of a dubstep/glitch-hop sound. It has a punchy kick and snare, with more drum grooves. There are switches from half-time to double-time and normal-time to double-time. 

 

• The second variation adds a atmospheric pad that gives the song a sense of space and flow. Alongisde it is a new guitar bassline, adding more of a subtle feeling than the original bass.

 

• The third variation adds more immersive elements. Heavy breathing to simulate that feeling being in a suit in space - there's nothing but your breathes you can hear in a space suit. I also added wind chimes to add grace within the mix - almost like a reminder of home.
